Remember those simple joys of summer—the ones that make you want to press pause on your to-do list and dive right in? Turns out, our Celebrate! Work from Home Community knows a thing or two about making the most of their time!
As we shared in our recent blog, “Press Pause for Play,” fun isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s a must for our well-being, creativity, and sense of connection—especially when we’re working remotely. But what does “fun” mean to you? We invited Celebrate! Members to share their Summer Fun and Travel Favs, and their responses are sure to inspire your next joyful moment or adventure!
From peaceful hammock days to joyful family time, here’s how Celebrate! Members savor summer:
☀️ “My favorite summer spots are my hammock on a mild day or the beach with my feet in the sand.”
☀️ “Weekend road trips” and “driving with the windows open while listening to my favorite songs.”
☀️ Some love “collecting shells along the beach early in the morning,” or “spending time in Cape May, NJ, enjoying the vibes of a Victorian Paradise.”
☀️ For others, summer’s about tradition: “Making homemade peach ice cream in a hand-crank ice cream maker,” or “harvesting grapes from my own vine to make homemade jam!”
☀️ And of course, nothing beats: “Favorite Ice Cream is Mint Chocolate Chip!” or “Time at the beach with my fam!”
☀️ Whether it’s “going to the beach with cousins,” “getting up early to watch the sunrise,” or just “taking care of my new grandson and his two brothers,” a wide range of moments made the list.
Our Celebrate! Members also shared some beloved travel spots and wish-list locations:
🌍 “I look forward to our tradition of vacationing on Dauphin Island (Alabama) with my family…Great to be together and experience the beach since we do not live close to any beaches.”
🌍 Some favorites are simple but perfect: “The beach,” “Any mountain city,” or simply “Idyllwild, CA.”
🌍 Exciting adventures and big dreams featured, too: “Las Vegas, NV” and even “Amsterdam!”
Every response is a reminder: fun isn’t reserved just for kids. We shared it’s about being present, connecting with loved ones (or reconnecting with ourselves), and giving ourselves permission to press pause for fun—even if it’s just a few moments with a popsicle, a sunrise, or a jar of homemade jam.
Have you identified some of your “fun magnets”? What memory or activity should you add to your list? Maybe it’s time to rediscover your own version of summer magic and fun!
